Turkish White Bean Stew

 2 cups white beans (navy beans, cannellini beans)
 300 g lamb or beef cubes
 4 green peppers (chopped)
 1 onion (chopped)
 2 tomatoes (chopped)
 2 tbsp tomato paste
 2 tbsp pepper paste
 6 cups beef or vegetable broth / water
 1 tbsp salt
 2 tbsp butter or ghee
 2 tbsp olive or vegetable oil

Soak the beans in water the night before. (You can skip this step by using 2 cans of cooked beans)

Cover the meat cubes with water and cook it on medium heat until it's tender.

Add butter and oil to a different pot. Saute all the vegetables, tomato paste, and pepper paste on medium heat. Then add cooked meat and beans into this pot. Combine well.

Pour the water or broth. Add salt. Cover the lid and cook for half an hour on medium heat. Then turn the heat down and cook for another half an hour.

Your Turkish White Bean stew is ready. Afiyet olsun!

You can sprinkle red pepper flakes and oregano on top when serving.
